PQI TYPE EY ULTRA‐EFFICIENT TRANSFORMER
The Type EY e‐Rated Ultra‐Efficient Transformer is a great solution for any facility in any market
segment. Designed with extremely low “no‐load” losses, the Type EY operates efficiently at low load levels. The Type EY e‐Rated transformer is available with PQI Z3+ efficiency, which exceeds the current minimum efficiency standard (DOE 2016), and can be designed and built to any level of efficiency requested. The Type EY’s efficiency peaks can be designed to match actual loading to maximize savings.
PQI TYPE DV HARMONIC MITIGATING TRANSFILTER
The Type DV Harmonic Mitigating TransFilter is the industry’s leading harmonic mitigating transformer. Most importantly, it’s the vehicle that will take you to NEXT LEVEL SAVINGS. The Type DV mitigates load generated harmonic currents which cause current and voltage distortion, resulting in losses in the system and within each individual load. The Type DV HMT reduces current and voltage distortion throughout the system causing each load to operate more efficiently. These are NEXT LEVEL SAVINGS that can’t be reached without the Type DV. NEXT LEVEL SAVINGS resulting from the engineered application of our Type DV Harmonic Mitigating TransFilters are measured and verified once your project is installed.
PQI TYPE PY & PV MEDIUM VOLTAGE TRANSFORMERS
If you’re replacing low voltage transformers as part of your solution you should also consider any
existing medium voltage (MV) transformers. Whether you’re looking to replace an inefficient
transformer or need some harmonic mitigation at this higher voltage, PQI manufactures transformers with primary voltages up to 46 kV (250 kV BIL). While most MV units are standalone, many facilities have transformers needing replacement that are located inside of switchgear cabinets. We can supply replacement core and coil assemblies with VPI or Cast Coil designs. These can be custom designed for easy installation into existing switchgear cabinets, while also considering building ingress.
