“PQI Honored as One of 50 Companies to Watch”
September 18, 2012
Created by the Edward Lowe Foundation, Companies to Watch is an exclusive program that honors second-stage growth companies. Out of 425 nominations, PQI was selected as one of fifty second-stage companies from across the state of Florida as a “Company to Watch.”
Companies were evaluated for their entrepreneurial leadership, product innovation, employment rates, revenue growth, social/community responsibility and competitive business practices. “We built Companies to Watch on the belief that an energized entrepreneurial culture must exist for second-stage companies to thrive,” said Penny Lewandowski, Director of Entrepreneurship at the Edward Lowe Foundation.
PQI Founder and Principal Engineer, Greg Ferguson said, “We are honored that PQI is receiving this recognition. We are proud to be a Florida company and expect PQI’s rich heritage of electrical engineering expertise and innovative products continue to make an impact on energy systems worldwide and on Florida’s economy as we continue to grow.” PQI President, Shaun Ferguson added, “To be included as a Florida ‘Company To Watch’ is a privilege, and with some of the intense electrical engineering research and development underway at PQI, we expect to sustain cutting edge approaches and products for which PQI is known. We are delighted that PQI’s focus on helping facilities reduce their energy costs and improve their electrical infrastructure is being recognized.”
PQI was recognized at a special awards gala ceremony at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.
